Shotokan is a style of karate, developed from various martial arts by Gichin Funakoshi (1868–1957) and his son Gigo (Yoshitaka) Funakoshi (1906–1945). Being one of the first and biggest styles, Shotokan is considered a traditional and influential form of karate.

UNF Shotokan was formed in 2003 and is a further continuation of the UNF’s active development of culture, sports & recreation. This groups brings the unique an interesting history of the Shotokan Karate together with the deep history and culture of the Ukrainian people. Led by Karate Master Mykola Shyshko, the club provides youth with the skills and training required to excel in the art of karate through weekly as well as summer camp programs.

Parents are welcome to visit a practice night and speak to an instructor about registration.
